Unloved Buildings

Below are some buildings which are currently either 'at risk' or about which the Trust has some concern.

Toto's, Museum Street Colchester

Toto's, located in Museum Street, Colchester; although the building needs a paint and a new raison d'etre , it is reported to be structurally sound.
Recent reports from CBC advise that a planning permission granted in 2007 will shortly be implemented on this and the adjoining building.

Doe's Mill, Colchester, also known as The Old Mill, East Bay

Doe's Mill, on the banks of the R. Colne near East Street, is a grade 11 mid/late 18c granary. Planning permission for the site was granted in 2004, but no work has been undertaken as a result of this permission.

East Street Bridge, Colchester

East Street Bridge, Colchester

East Street Bridge, Colchester. A fine bridge, built in 1802 owned by Essex County Council but looking unloved; several of the light fittings are missing.
A report in the Essex County Standard in April 09, stated that Essex County Council would be restoring the bridge and its lamp posts in the future

A building that appears not to be occupied; again an important part of the street scene on North Hill, in need of a paint; it would appear to be one of the buildings featured in this Trust's logo!
